Forum: GratefulDead Subject: New Release (w/ T-shirt !) 7-7-89

Did the 7-2 through 7-13-89 run (very crispy by 7-14-89), and a lot of '89 in general. I found these dates to be spotty and lackluster. (Beautiful tapestries across stage though). I recall the energy in the crowd that night being intense and edgy. Not a lot of dancers that night( I tried to find you ).After the show Walking through the Ocean of beer bottles (ankle high in some places). Any excited buyers out there? BTW cheaper @ amazon if inclined. Think I'll pass on this one

my bro got this for me as a birthday gift last week, outstanding Aiko and Loser in first set...second set is pretty good, Garcia's best moments are during a variable fire...

summer 89 delivered a bunch of great shows...the Alpine Valley run in particular...06-21 is nice...August 4,5,6 and 18th and 19th deliver...

89 might be Garcia's best year of the GD's last 10 years, his JGB sghows rock in 1989...86-95

Pre-ordered this from Amazon ($32). Shipped 4/21 and showed up in my mailbox 4/22 without a t-shirt. Didn't want it anyway, still have the one I bought at the show. Had a ball at the show and always thought it was a great night of music. Sat way in the back, high in the stadium, so never got to see anything but the beautiful stage. Glad to have the discs and DVD, just for the "I was there" factor. Only show I ever attended out on video.
